ROTEC software by VISIPIRON makes it easy to set up and carry out measurements. Online display and measurements are supported, as well as different analyses for existing measurement data.

Building on the ROTEC basic software package, we offer flexible extension packages to our customers.

The modular ROTEC software provides the user with an easy to use, flexible and powerful tool for data acquisition, analysis, presentation and output. Analyses can be performed in a time, angular and spectral range. All measuring channels have a common time basis, which facilitates the reliable multi-channel analysis of speed measuring points (e.g. for the analysis of a gearbox transmission error), as well as the inclusion of analogue measured values on a speed channel.

Import and export modules make it possible to exchange data in ASCI format. As a result, measurement data can be processed with Matlab® or other subsequent programmes.

VALVETRAIN ANALYSIS

Automotive development engineers are increasingly focusing on valvetrains. Very high resolution and dynamic measurement technology is gaining in importance, in particular in relation to the increasing complexity of valvetrains. Specially tailored analyses are required for the reproducibility of the results, as well as the necessary short computation times of large amounts of data generated during the measurements. In the ROTEC software, the valvetrain analysis offers a number of special reports, such as the valve seating speed at the moment of dynamic closing depending on the speed. Important intermediate results can be displayed to verify the results.

CYLINDER PRESSURE INDICATION

Vispiron ROTEC CYLINDER PRESSURE INDICATION
The "Cylinder pressure indication" (CPI) software module facilitates the measurement and analysis of cylinder pressure data in relation to the angle of rotation. Using geometrical, thermal and additional motor data, further analyses can be carried out and displayed, e.g.: PV diagram, indicated medium pressure

GEAR ANALYSIS / SINGLE FLANK TESTING

The quality of a drive train - and therefore also that of a gearbox - is increasingly determined by its noise emissions. Analytical methods, such as noise and single flank testing, are gaining in importance as a result. Conventional single flank testing, which is carried out according to DIN 3960 at low speeds (approx. 20 rpm) and low load, is very suitable for assessing the manufacturing quality of gears. A significant advantage of this method is the numeric comparability of the results, regardless of any possible differences in the framework conditions of individual tests.

SIMULATION

The simulation package facilitates the mathematical description of systems and helps safeguard your boundary conditions in subsequent simulation tools. Stimuli can also be specified manually or read out from measurement data. It is also possible to insert the results of the simulation into the data analysis.

ANIMATION

ROTEC ANIMATION Module
The animation module accesses measurement data and analyses and displays them. The software makes it possible to represent a test specimen, e.g. a drive train or a belt drive, and to animate it using measurement data which have been analysed.Similar to a CAD system, the drawing is created as a wire model, consisting of individual points and their connecting lines. The drawing is 3-dimensional, the points are entered as coordinates via input fields, the connecting lines are entered interactively using the mouse.

The animation module accesses measurement data and analyses and displays them. The software makes it possible to represent a test specimen, e.g. a drive train or a belt drive, and to animate it using measurement data which have been analysed. In order to draw belt drives, the program has the option to draw discs and axes. Animations of linear sizes are created by moving the points, with the connecting lines reacting accordingly. Rotary vibration animations are created by using oscillating pointers in the respective discs. An arrow, which changes its length in line with the amplitude, is the third option for representation. Multiple models can be edited and animated simultaneously. The graphic tools provided make it possible for the user to create high-quality graphics and integrate them into their own Windows application.
